Publication Introduction

PRIAE has been both a major producer of acclaimed publications and a publisher itself, since it began in 1998. As its patron Dr Chai Patel CBE, MBS, said ‘PRIAE’s publications are groundbreaking, focussed and highly relevant arising from a process that is both engaging while making considerable investment in the area of ageing and ethnicity’ (2005 PRIAE conference).

Publications are listed by themes, and not chronologically. This reflects PRIAE’s design and structure of work. They can be downloaded freely for further development and action in the area, and cited appropriately quoting the author(s), PRIAE and the publisher. If you wish to donate as a result of these free resources, please give this to your local minority ethnic organisation, many of whom have participated in initiatives that resulted in such publications, and are critical to black and minority ethnic elders’ information, care and support. The publications arise from work through open call competitive process. The funders range from the European Commission, Department of Health (UK); ESF, Foundations.
